I never thought that something as simple as changing the colour scheme on my phone could have such a profound impact on my life. But that’s exactly what happened when I turned my phone’s screen black and white.
The problem of phone addiction
I have always been aware of the problem of phone addiction. I knew that spending so much time on my phone was taking away from other pursuits and activities that I enjoyed. But despite my best efforts, I couldn’t seem to break the habit. I would tell myself that I would only check my phone for a few minutes, but before I knew it, hours would have passed.
One day, a friend of mine who had been struggling with the same issue recommended a trick that had worked for her. She told me about a setting on the phone that would turn everything on the screen black and white. At first, I was sceptical. How could something so small make such a big difference?
I decided to give it a try.
